If you follow this blog you will know I have been struggling with the sideways movement of the half pass. Today was my last lesson with my coach Belinda Trussell. Biasini leaves for Florida next week and I will be following him right after Christmas. In Florida I train with Lou Denizard and I know he will look after Biasini till I arrive.
Belinda asked me what we would like to do in our last lesson. I said I would like to work on the leg yielding in walk and trot with a view to preparing for the half pass. I also said I would like to do some walk to passage. Belinda suggested we start with the walk to passage and she would help me from the ground. This work gets Biasini wide awake and revved up !
Then we went on to the leg yielding and trot half pass. Here is a video.
What a great finish to my work on the half pass. Belinda has been tireless in encouraging me to persist and get it right and to pay attention to all the little details that will make the final product good.
The voice on the video is spot on…super and excellent!

Thank you Diana. It is such a privilege to have a talented horse and a coach who will work with an older rider like me
