Product review Update: Omega Alpha

untitledIn honor of Canada Day ( July 1) and the special celebration of Canada’s 150 years, I am going to update my product reviews of two Canadian companies that make products for horses. Today I will start with Omega Alpha.

I previously reviewed several of their products. Gastra FX. RegenerEQ, Sinew X Plus, And Vantiox.   I will put links at the end of this post to the original reviews.  I am still using these products.

Gastra FX.

I use this every time I ride . I give Biasini 50ml by syringe. He actually views this as a treat and I give it so him once he is groomed and I have his polo wraps on his legs. If I forget and start to put on his saddle he will start pawing.  He loves the taste of it.  I like to use this product as it helps to protect the stomach during training work and exercise.

I use this product whenever we are trailering to shows, showing  and whenever I feel he may be needing it. If he gets irritable about being brushed then I know it is time for some RegenerEQ.  This product is helpful for the intestine and hindgut.

Sinew X Plus

Biasini gets this daily.  It is an excellent joint supplement and I want to protect his joints as best I can. He is now twelve and works very hard with training and  competition. Upper level dressage can be hard on the joints, especially the hocks.  Biasini is very supple and still feels like a young horse. There is no stiffness in his joints even if he has had a day or two off  and he is supple right from the get go when he is ridden. I think that Sinew X Plus is assisting with keeping  his joints, ligaments and tendons  in good shape.

This product is my most recent addition to Biasini’s diet.  It is an antioxidant and is very helpful in preventing muscle soreness when training.

Herba Coat

This is a product I use every day in Florida during the winter season and also at home when the weather is hot. In Florida it may be winter but it is usually warm enough that Biasini will need a rinse off after he has been working. While his coat is still wet I  spray on the Herba Coat and then give it a rub in.  I find it really keeps his coat gleaming and not dried out by the repeated bathing.

Omega Alpha asked me over a year ago to review these products and I have been using them ever since. I believe they are of very high quality and Biasini seems to do very well with them. Below you can find links to my original reviews. The first link is an introduction to Omega  Alpha.

*I was not paid or compensated for this review, it is my own valid and honest opinion, with information of m own or as appropriately sourced. *

I look forward to reading more of your blog. I work independently with an adult woman that has autism. She expressed an interest in horses so I thought maybe this would be something I could do with her. We started out just grooming the horse. It has taken months to get this far. She progressed to walking the horse with the instructor. Last week I talked her into putting her leg on the saddle on the horse. Next up is sitting on the horse. This will probably be another few months but she’s getting there!

This is wonderful ! Horses seem to have an understanding of people with autism . I am so happy that she has this opportunity. It will be interesting to see how she gets on once she can sit on the horse and be taken for a walk. For many people with autism the sensation of the horse walking is very enjoyable. I am so happy to hear that you are helping this woman with this connection to horses. I hope you will continue to let me know how it is going. Thank you for this comment.

Thank you! I have been at a horse show today and lots of people are wearing red and white Canada t-shirts and I wore a tiny Canadian flag on the lapel of my show jacket!

It was easy to be honest about these products as they are such good quality and the ones I use really help Biasini. I think it is best not to be paid because then if I did not like something I could choose not to review it or to give it a poor review.
