This weeks the Lens-Artists photo challenge is “Framing the Shot” Thanks to Amy for this really interesting challenge. Here are my responses.

Sometimes I do not want to show the whole horse but just something that has caught my eye. In this case it is the Canadian flag on the fly bonnet of Jill Irving’s horse at the World Equestrian Games 2018.

Horses in a stained glass window.

Or my horses ears framed by the trees.

A frame of flags as the Horse Guards come down the Mall for the changing of the Horse Guards.

A beautiful set of images, Anne! The flags are great, but my absolute favorite is the stained glass window. Quite a different frame!

Thank you Leya. That window was in a house in England. It is unique!

I always like the horse’s ears (with or without bonnet) for some reason. They are a very expressive part of the horse.

They are expressive and as a rider they can be watched for clues about what the horse is thinking or focusing on.

These are all effective shots, the massed Union Jacks are a really striking setting, and I like the knight ready to charge down the hallway.

That is how I felt about that knight too!
