Hello dear humansI I am back at my home farm Oakcrest Oak Crest but last week I started to not feel very well my tummy hurt quite a lot I was kicking at it and fussing a bit and pawing on the ground and so then they knew that there was something wrong they being you know Emily and Karl the barn manager so then ISo then I started to roll a bit well that was it they got Lindsay and she started walking me in the arena walking round and round and round that’s what they do you know if you’ve got a bad stomach and they think you’re having a colic episode then the vet came out they got doctor Richelle To come out to see me she shaved off a little bit of the hair on my neck and they put in a tube into my neck and they started pumping water into me then she did a rectal exam that’s not terribly pleasant for the horse on the receiving end of it but you know it’s ok Then I when I was sent to the Ontario Veterinary College to the large animal hospital I am that large animal you know as soon as I got there they took me in and they hooked me up to some more tubes and things like that and overnight I had lots of big poops big poops In the morning when the vets came in and they came in and looked at my all my poops and they said ah this is good and then they did another rectal exam and they said that it was normal. I was happy to hear that I can tell you I know that MaLeueen had sent me to the Ontario Veterinary College to the large animal hospital the condition that they did not do any surgery on me.At myadanced age Ma lLeueen did Ma eueen didn’t think I would be able to survive the surgery and I And I think she’s right so to be honest I was quite happy that she said that to them at the college vet phoned her in the afternoon They phoned her in the afternoon and they told her that I had lots of piles of poop in my stall in the morning and that I seemed to be doing quite well and they were going to give me some food and see how I tolerated that I was happy to hear that my goodness me because I was quite hungry by then anyway they gave me some several dishes of mash and that was very nice I enjoyed it. They also told her that my rectal exam had showed everything was normal there was no impaction and there was no displacement of my rectal passages so that was good too so anyhow the next day I got picked up and I was taken by trailer I came back to Oak Crest my home farm Anyway Dr Richelle came out to see me again and she said to them that I needed to be hand walked at least four times a day that that had been part of the problem that I had not been drinking enough and and you know so I don’t know that MaLeueen’shusband Ma leueen’s husband David can come and do that I don’t think he can but anyhow then they decided they were going to turn me out and they did so now every morning every morning I go out just like a regular horse I go out into the paddock and I’m out there until they bring them all in I love it and I know I must behave too if I start running around or bucking or leaping or any of that thing then that’ll be the end of my turn out but I’ve been very very well behaved and I am not on any medication i’m not on any tranquilizers or anything i’m just behaving well!!
So there you have it dear humans that’s all I have to say for now I think you will agree it has been a very busy week for me this past week and I hope that you will think of me when I’m having my turn out because I so enjoy being out there I really do Till next time dear humans
