Do you blog to promote your business? Or is your blog a launching pad for your social life? Does it exist only to complement your business or your Instagram/Facebook/Twitter accounts? Is your blog making you real money (if so please let me into your secret)? Are you blogging because you are so adept at this craft that you want to teach it to others? Or are you like me: blogging just due to the urge to write?
Sadje of Keep It Alive blog asked this question and I wanted to answer it.
I blog about horses because I believe they are magnificent creatures. I also like to do interviews with riders who have put themselves forward for consideration to represent their countries in major competitions like the Olympics. It is their horses that give them the ticket to represent their countries. I took an Equine Photography course early in my blogging career wanted to make my photos of horses better. Horses are not static subjects . I had to learn how to capture just the right second of their movement.

I do not make any money on my blog and it is not associated with any business. The only thing I want to promote is horses and horse sport. My discipline is Dressage but I also cover jumping at the Winter Equestrian Festival.

I spend a lot of time working on my blog. During the winter when my husband and I are in Wellington Florida blogging takes up even more time as I go to lots of competitions to take photos. I spend most evenings working on my blog. But the truth is I enjoy it and I do not find writing the posts difficult at all.
Thank you Sadje for the inspiration to write this post.
