Today the vet came and did an ultrasound to see how Biasini’s tendon injury was healing. The good news is it’s filling in well. But the vet wants but us to be cautious and just continue with walking under saddle only until she does another ultrasound at the beginning of March. I think that is a good idea. If he was to have another injury he would have to be retired. That is not what I want .
Also, it gives me a chance to get back my riding legs. Not that I have lost them but as Biasini and I walk in the arena Lynsey Rowan walks beside us and gives me instruction. “Don’t pull back Give and ask him to come up with your leg. Push with your leg.” I know it sounds easy but the execution of this is not so easy. My leg must be in the exact right place for the push to be effective. And then if he walks out too quickly I must use my knees to bring him back. So doing more of that for another month will only be a good thing

So on we go and I am giving thanks for the ultrasound results.
