This week the Lens-artists challenge is from Tina at Travels and Trifles. The challenge: Precious Pets.
CATS
We do not have a cat but we have had our daughter’s cat as a guest. Here is a photo of our daughter and her cat Sir Winston. dressed for a special occasion. He was a rescue who started life abandoned in a warehouse. But he would not hesitate to tell you he is descended from the regal cats of Ancient Egypt. Cats were worshipped as Gods then. Sir Winston thinks they still should be.

DOGS
We do not have a dog at the moment but on September 14 we will be welcoming a new puppy into our home. She will be our fourth mini-Schnauzer. We had to say goodbye to our much loved Tia last spring when she became ill and surgery was difficult and without a guarantee of success. She joined our family when she was 16 months old and left us at age 14.

When Tia first arrived we also had Abby. Abby loved nothing more that a game with a ball and I think she has gone on to another life as a soccer player.

There were some rare occasions when Abby , Tia and Sir Winston (who is not even a permanent resident!) would all relax together. But you can see who has claimed the best and biggest spot!

HORSES
Obviously since the name of this blog is Horse Addict horses are the passion of my life. I have to say that I view the horses in my life as co-workers more than pets. We are on a journey together with our training and competition and just hanging out together. My friend Biasini also “speaks” on my blog and he has opinions on almost everything. He is the most talented horse I have ever had.He is not the easiest ride but I have learned a great deal from him and that is still on going. Next to my husband and children Biasini is one of the “loves of my life”.

I encourage you to take a look at Tina’s Precious Pets post and in the comments you will find links to other responses to this challenge. There are some wonderful pets to be found in these posts.
I’d love to hear from you!
