The Florida winter season is coming to an end and tomorrow we will set off on the three day drive back home. There is much that I am grateful for this winter.

The endlessly patient and inspiring coaching of Lou Denizard. His outside the box visual pictures of riding a mounting block with a whip across my knees, my shoulders at my cantilever point and finally the short pitchfork coming out of by solar plexus! All of these have made a notable improvement in my position and effectiveness when I am riding . Thank you Lou.

The White Fences Championship Series. This got me off my butt and into the show ring competing. There are not many Championship series that give an opening for the Adult Amateurs but this one did. It was fun, and rewarding. I got more miles in the ring than I have had since I was a teenager in the jumpers! Thank you to the sponsors and organizers of this series of shows.

Silver Drache Farm. This is a beautiful facility. It is attractive and also functional with a fabric covered arena that allows light evenly onto the excellent footing but protects from Florida’s powerful sun. The stalls are airy and each stall has a fan for air circulation in the heat and humidity of Florida. I know Biasini enjoys looking out the front and also out the back of his stall. He also loves the alfalfa hay. The people who work at Silver Drache are efficient and dedicated. Every part of the farm is top quality. Thank you Andrea Eppley.

I’d love to hear from you!
