Last Thursday, Dr.Manning, the vet who has been looking after Biasini came and did an ultrasound of his tendon injury. He showed me the result. “He’s ahead of schedule,” he said “it only been five months but you can start to do a tiny bit of trot.” This is the best news
This means that Biasini’s injury is healed up well enough to start back to some work. I know that the trot work is where we will know if the healed injury will stand up to him returning to any work.
What is a “tiny” amount of trot? Just trotting him down the long side of the arena and then turning him in a gradual way to go down the next long side. Then repeating that in the other direction. Next week that is what we will do.Monday I will have a lesson with Lynsey Rowan and I will get on and do our usual walk work.

As usual he will get some nice breaks when he can stretch his head down

And once he has “warmed up”Lynsey will get on and do the “tiny bit “of trot work. I shall watch and be smiling!
