This purple clematis is blooming on an east facing wall of our house.There are two clematis growing against this wall and this purple one blooms now in July and the other blooms in the autumn with smaller white blooms.
I enjoy seeing both of them.I got the idea of growing two clematis next to each other from my friend Kim who has several growing together in her lovely garden

They are lovely, Anne. I tried growing two together along with some yellow honeysuckle but the white autumn clematis has now grown over everything.
I have to seriously trim the white one or it would take over!
