FOTD: They are still alive!

For my birthday on June 9th, three weeks ago , my son sent me a lovely flower arrangement with roses, lilies, carnations and a small pink flowers that I thought might be orchids. There was also a plant for me as well.

As the days went by the lilies opened up and gave us a wonderful scent. Then as more time went by they faded and so did the roses and the carnations. But not the small pink flowers. Yesterday , 3 weeks after they arrived ,they were still looking fine. And they are in a position where they are in full sunshine for two hours every morning. Here are some photos.

I have given them freshwater and shortened their stems but that is all. I have never known cut flowers to last as well as these little flowers. I am thinking they may be an orchid. If you recognize them please leave a comment below. I think these long lived flowers deserve to be mentioned in Cee’s Flower of the Day Challenge.

It does look like an orchid, judging on the leaves, flowers and stems! Not sure which one either

Might be related to dendrobiums? But I’m not certain 😁
