Festival of Leaves Week 6

As you can see, week 5 was indeed my last week as I predicted it would be.

This is the same section of road I have shown each week for the Festival of Leaves. We still have two smaller and younger trees with leaves.

We planted these two maples when the older ones had to be taken down by the Township due to the danger of their falling into the road. The older trees are at at least 100 years old and were planted when the Concession roads were first laid out . I have been told that since they are all single trees and not in the protection of a forest it is hard for them to survive the elements.

Thank you Dawn for the Festival of Leaves 2022. This is week 6 and it will most likely be my last week. But it has been grand to take photos of the amazing leaf colors we have had this year. Do click the link to see other bloggers post about the leaves in their part of the world.

A leaf….is here today, and gone tomorrow. Perhaps this is way they are collectively referred to as “leaves.” 🙂

We’re getting close to the same point; had a couple of days of strong winds that have all but cleared the leafs of the trees. What a great six weeks of colour you had 😃
