Spring 2022!

On Easter Sunday morning I woke up to this.

A skiffer of snow!

But by 1pm it looked like this

I snatched up my camera and went out to take a few photos of the brave spring flowers.

A tiny red tulip
Two little muscari will be out in full bloom soon.

Just when I thought it was safe to assume that spring was almost here this happened. April 18 in the afternoon.

A spring blizzard. Snow is forecast to continue all night. If I wanted to live in the Yukon I could have moved there! I hope the weather deities will give us a break soon!

Spring 2022 in South Ontario Canada! I hope to respond to the Spring Festival 2022 with some more spring like photos soon!

[…] wasn’t the only one: Anne of Horse Addict experienced quite the snow event herself! She did manage to share some pretty spring florals before […]

Brrr, I’m going to have to quit complaining about our spring weather being too cold. You do have some beautiful flowers, though. Since it’s almost May, I would think that the weather would start to warm up. Happy belated Easter, Anne. 🙂

Better rain than snow, right? I hope you have a continued lovely spring and summer.

Your Easter Sunday morning started exactly like ours but our snow carpet was more up in the hills than on the ground at our house. But it was the coldest Easter I ever spent in my life. Great shots, Anne, of the flowers making their spring presence known. Love that delicate red tulip. Save some of those flowers for this Sunday Stills post Fab florals!

No snow here, but below average temps keep hanging on. I’m ready for it to be done!

Bet it takes some time to adjust after the warm Florida weather.

Yes it does for us and for the horses. That’s why I have had Biasini is warmer blankets that the horses who have been here all winter. Today I moved him down to medium weight as the forecast is for slighlty warmer temps.

Those first blooms must be very hardy indeed to cope with such extremes!

Yes they are. Once the snow melted off them they are still there and standing up saying Hello again.

Oh dear! Still getting snow flurries. I see in the comments the horses arrived back home. I’m glad they make nice warm blankets for them. It’s pretty to look at as your photos are beautiful, but I don’t much like that freezing cold weather. Stay warm!! 🥰

Yes. the horses from Florida all arrived yesterday. I put on a 300 weight stable blanket with a belly band and a serious turn out blanket with a neck for today. It is sunny today and a bit warmer so I have gone to medium stable blanket and a lighter turn out but still has a neck on it.

Thank goodness I didn’t see any snow as I have struggled with the cold weather here 🥶

It is brutal here. Only a few degrees above freezing for the daytime high and below at night. The horses got back from Florida today and we had to put all of them into winter weight blankets as they will be feeling the big change in temperatures. I’m like you I don’t like cold.
