This week Patti had given us the challenge of getting in close and closer. Here is my response. I took these photos at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival’s Nations Cup competition. They are of Evi Strasser and her horse Deja Vu Tyme. They were riding in the Grand Prix test for Team Canada.

Thank you for this challenge Patti. At the end of this weekend I will be posting an interview with Evi and more photos from her rides in the Nations Cup.
Glad to see the closer image, Anne. Thanks for explaining the darker brown patch.

I’ve clipped a lot over the years and we’ve never left that patch for where your legs are which I thought that was what it was in the photos. At first I thought it was a shadow, then realized or thought it was a patch unshaven. It’s a really good idea, and not done so much out here. Maybe Hunter’s don’t leave the patch I’m thinking. 🤔🥰 Very cool!! ❤️

I have always done it with Biasini..he is a sensitive fellow and I don’t want him.getting spur rubs when he is clipped and has almost no hair. Maybe itbisba dressage thing but lots of horses leave a patch like that.

An interesting challenge, Anne. Details missed from far away. Different perspectives change everything.
