My coach Belinda Trussell had two new horses to take into the showring this weekend. For Belinda this was the first time she has ridden them in the competition arena. Their premier outing was on Friday and both horses won their classes. Saturday was their second time and both horses did well again. I was there to take some photos on Saturday and I have to say I got out my 250-600mm long lens and felt like it had been years since I had taken any photos of horses in the show ring. But I managed to get a few good ones. Here they are. First the mare Insterlana or Lana to her friends at the barn . She carried herself well through the Intermediare 1 test.

Belinda’s next horse was Touch me Marso. This is also his first time at a show with Belinda. While Belinda was helping Megan Lane and watching her test Super Groom Lexi walked Touch around the warm up arena. This gave him chance to look at everything.

After the warm up it was time to start the test. Belinda and Touch also rode the Intermediare 1.

Off across the diagonal in extended trot.

Later in the test there is the extended canter. That is when Touch’s long legs can really cover ground. .

Not all the horses were as big as Touch. This little competitor had a smaller version to ride in her test.

Both of Belinda’s horses performed very well . I think that with more time together they will only improve. I look forward to seeing them both again. On a side note, there is a rumor that Biasini and I may get back into the show ring at the end of July.
I’d love to hear from you!
