The delphiniums have outdone themselves this summer. They already appeared in my post for the Sunday Stills but I think they deserve their own post as Flowers of the Day for Cee’s FOTD Challenge.


Now for a different angle. I climbed up onto the flat topped rock and took a photo looking down on the flowers. I know this is an odd one but they are so tall this year I decided it would be an interesting perspective. You may notice that all three stems are staked to help to keep them upright on windy days.

Love the photos the flowers are just such a beautiful view from all angles, they look like magical highrise accommodation for very wealthy bugs.

Yes! The photo I took from above reminded me of being in a highrise and looking down. Fortunately for me I did not find any bugs in residence wealthy or otherwise.😄

Wow, you’re not kidding, they really have outdone themselves, real spires, and the kind of deep blue you get on china plates. That was a great idea, looking down their length from above, made an interesting shot.
