I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden…..dandelions!

They look like they all gonna sing. That’s funny as here in Aus if a neighbour had a field like that it would be considered bad farming it’s considered an intrusive weed that must be eradicated. We have them growing here as medicinally their good for a lot & a great food source I often wonder if our farmers will catch on. lol
The dandelion paddock is north of our house. across the road there is a huge lawn of about 2 acres and it has nary a dandelion to be seen. It is mowed and sprayed and tweaked to within an inch of its life. We are on 1 acre and have a lawn at the front of our house with a liberal sprinkling dandelions. We do not spray any herbicide and frankly with the dandelion extravaganza in the field next door to the north what would be the point? And if we have dry summer they will still have green leaves and that is something. They are not considered a noxious weed here in Canada. The person across the street is just obsessive about his lawn. We do have one weed that is considered dangerous. It looks like a gigantic Queen Anne’s lace. I cant remember the name but it is poisonous to touch so if you find one you have to call the environment ministry and they remove it.
I’d love to hear from you!
