Who Needs a ‘Change of Scenery’?

With all the Covid lockdowns and restrictions, ad infinitum, ad nauseaum, I think many of us need a change of scenery. So when Wandering Dawgs , who is hosting this weeks Lens Artists challenge, chose Change Of Scenery as the challenge I was delighted. We have had some warmer weather and sunshine in the last few days. So no more of this…

Now we have this… No leaves yet and the grass is not green yet but soon….

Here are some brave daffodils that will brighten our day before too long.

And look who is up from hibernation! Mr. Chipmunk!

And just this morning Mr. and Mrs. Cardinal paid us a visit. They may just be passing through and Mrs. did not sit still long enough for me to get a photo of her.

And finally Biasini has been able to shed his winter clothing. Here is his heavy duty winter turnout blanket.

And now the lighter spring blanket. The material is a silver color and that can reflect the sunshine’s heat if the day gets too warm. He has his head down as he knows I have a carrot in my hand!

I am hoping that 2021 or 2022 will bring a chance for a change of scenery further afield. Our son lives in London and it would be so nice to be able to visit him and to see Boadicea’s chariot horse jumping the London Eye!

Yeas, Anne, spring is a time full of joy and excitement: you can hear birds chirping again, you can perceive smells again, the animals lose their winter fur and the flowers bloom in the most beautiful, bright colors.Your wonderful set of photos, full of sunshine, show the first signs of spring. Because the amount of light increases, you have more and brighter light, already in the morning.
Thank You Anne, for this beautiful post!
    Greetings from the beautiful Rhine-Highlands / Germany…

I hope so too. We have not seen him since October of 2019. Thank goodness for Whats App video chats. That is nice to at least see him on a screen.

Great photos, especially the horse statue with the London Eye, it looks like the horse might be spinning the wheel with its hooves.

Haha yes Biasini will be happiest when he can dispense with all blankets and have a good roll in the dirt. The little chipmunks amaze me. For the winter months we do not see them and now they are back! Thanks for commenting.
