This week I made the decision to only ride on the forest trails that were on the Oakcrest Farm property and not venture onto the York Regional Forest trails after our rather exciting time there the week before. The two women who stepped aside to let us pass were wearing long dresses that looked to me like saris. They wore jackets on the top of the saris as it was a cold day. Two of the young men, at the top of the hill, were dressed in dark trousers and jackets. The other young man was dressed entirely in red: red trousers, red long sleeved shirt and a red skirt . The fabric had gold decorations on it. He had a sword, that he waved above his head, while jumping up and down. Was he proving that he could defend the two young women from the horses?
No one I know has an answer to this. All of the young people looked like they could be of East Indian descent. Could this have been a wedding party? If anyone reading this post knows or has any ideas please let me know in the comments below.
But this week Biasini and I had a calm and quiet walk through the Oakcrest forest and the only sounds were the rustling of leaves moved by Biasini’s hooves. It was a very refreshing ride
Biasini responds well to going out to the forest and the training lessons we do in the days after are always better for it.
