Biasini Speaks: Happy Trails

Hello dear Humans! I hope you are all well. Ma Leueen tells me the Vye Rus is still around and so in the barn the humans are wearing things on their faces called masks. We horses do not have to wear them. Anyway I’ve been having some very good times out on the forest trails. Twice Ma Leueen and I went out with Super Groom Lexi and Touchie. He’s a brave fellow and he didn’t even mind crossing the bridge that has the big tube, underneath it, with the water running through it. He gave it a bit of a snort and then just walked on. I was happy to follow. With Touchie and SG Lexi we went for really long trail rides. We saw lots of humans. Some had their offspring in little carriages with wheels. The little ones are always happy to see us. They seem to like horses. Their parents hold them back in case they run out too close to us. But Touchie and me, we know about little humans and we would be so careful if they did come close to us. One time we also saw a large group of older humans and they all had sticks in their hands. That made me a bit nervous but they stepped right back off the trail and smiled and said hello. Ma Leueen told me that their sticks were for walking and not to worry about them.

This past end of week Ma Leueen and I went out on our own. We went on my favorite trail. Yes! I think you may know which one that is. The goat trail!

You can see in the photo I still have my fly bonnet on but there were no flies. Not one! I think that now the flies are gone because we have colder nights. I am very happy when there are no flies. We also went on to what Ma Leueen calls the Blue Trail. That is a bigger trail and we saw a group of people who were quite nervous about me. They backed up and stood and watched while we walked by. Two of the humans had their mouths open as if they were shocked to see me. Seriously! Maybe they live in the city and have never seen a live horse before. I think they should get out more!

I asked Ma Leueen to take some video of the Goat Trail. I thought you would like to see it. And there is something interesting to see in this video. You can see on one side of the trail a very big old tree stump. And growing from right inside that old stump is a new tree. That old stump must be from a tree that died a long, long, time ago but now another tree is growing up in the same spot. Take a look and see if you see it.

That is all from me Dear Humans. I have a very special blob post coming up in a few weeks. But I can’t tell you about it now. For now stay away from that Vye Rus!

  2. There is no surprise those humans behaved in that way. I think I would also done the same if I didn’t followed this blog. When my elder daughter was 6yrs old she had a horse ride with attender at Kanyakumari. There people do it as business. After that here in Muscat festival both of my daughters had only that type of rides. I didn’t even touched a horse. But I love horse. After following this blog horse becomes as inspiring.

I am sorry to hear you have not been able to get out for walks Emma Human, Ma Leueen tells me you had an injury and that is the reason. We horses sometimes have injuries too and it is not fun. I hope you will be able to walk around in the trees again soon. Thanks for coming along with me on my forest walk.🐴

    Hi Biasini!
It’s so good to hear from you and I love the trail rides and adventures. Isn’t that something walking on the same trail as the humans and small humans too. Here in my town, we’ve had people drive real slow and/or stop and take photos of us riding. I wonder how many people have our photos? As I can’t count over the years all the photos. I was giggling when you said, people should get out more. Haha, they should! I’m enjoying the arena a little more than usual because my best friends horse who is now 28 is retired from trail rides. She has tripped to her knees twice in the last couple of weeks. She has this disease called EPM, and it may be back so they drew blood for tests. So I’m going to have to trail ride alone. Haven’t found any new trail friends at my new stables.

Sorry to go on so… I am so happy to see the BEAUTIFUL forest and the new tree growing from the stump, and no better view that your Ma has looking between your ears!! ❀️ Sending carrots your way! πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•

Hello Diana Human.I am sorry to hear you have lost your trail buddy. We have a horse here who had EPM and recovered but he is just bad tempered all the time. He used to be in the stall next to me and finally I asked to be moved. So now I am not near him and I am much happier. I don’t mind going on the trails just with Ma Leueen. She chats to me sometimes but I don’t always listen. I just nod my head as if I was listening. Thank you for those carrots They are my favorite treat!🐴

Thanks for the well wishes. I’m glad you were able to move from the bad tempered horse. Not fun to be around a cranky one. I’m learning that just being with my horses on the trail is still fun and enjoyable. ❀️

Looks like a beautiful trail, Biasini. Of all the trails in the Indiana National Dunes Park, only one allows horses. I hiked that one twice this week and didn’t see a single horse. Would love to see you there. 😊
