I do not usually respond to awards as I feel I do not have enough time to give them the credit they deserve. But I was “tagged” by Ben from You Can do It for the Christmas Tag and in the spirit of the season I thought OK. Let’s go with it.

My answers to the questions :
- What´s your favorite thing about Christmas? The spirit of the season; love, joy, forgiveness and compassion.
- What´s your favorite Christmas memory? When my children were younger the excitement of Christmas morning.
- Are there special traditions your family has for Christmas? On Christmas Eve we would all watch the film “It’s A Wonderful Life.” As the years went by it would only be my son and me as my husband and daughter would be wrapping presents. But my son and I loved this film and the wonderful story of a man who, in despair, thinks it would have been better if he had never lived. The people in his home town who know he is in a financial crisis all pray for him and a rather hapless angel ,who has not managed to earn his wings, is sent down to help the desperate man and shows him how much he has done for people during his life and how different it would be if he had not lived. The whole town rallies round to help him with his crisis and the angel gets his wings. It is a story well suited to Christmas I think.
- What´s your Christmas wish? (can be personal or general). My Christmas wish is for my family, friends and blogger friends to have good health in the coming year both mental and physical. And I wish for peace for all those suffering in war and conflict zones in the world. .
- What´s your favorite Christmas dish? Mince pies.
- What´s your favorite Christmas decoration? The Christmas tree.
- What is your favorite Christmas song? Angels we have heard on high.
- Where do you usually celebrate Christmas? With family.
- What does the “Christmas spirit” mean to you? The spirit of hope, love and compassion.
- Who out of anybody in the world would you want to spend your Christmas with? I would like to have my family all together. My daughter and her family are only two hours away and my husband and I will spend Christmas with them. But my son is now in Australia so if we could ‘teleport’ him here to be with us that would be wonderful.
- What´s your favorite thing about Christmas? The spirit of the season; love, joy, forgiveness and compassion.
Additional question for (Ben’s) interest: Do you believe in Christmas? That is a tricky question. Do I believe that the son of God was born in a stable in Bethlehem? Do I believe an elderly gentleman who lives at the North Pole and flies on a reindeer driven sleigh delivering presents all over the world? Hmm…. well ….I do believe in Christmas. The Christmas I believe in is a joyous time when we can put aside grievances, when wars have ceased fire and opposing sides have sung carols together across the no-mans’ land, when we stop and think about those less privileged than ourselves , when in the dark of winter we put our faith in the light of spring coming . I believe in that Christmas.
