The Road Taken

This weeks Word Press Photo Challenge is “the Road Taken.”  Interesting as we usually think of the road not taken.  So here is my response to the challenge.

The first time I tried Biasini I watched Belinda Trussell , then his owner and trainer, ride him and then I rode him. I was looking for an upper level dressage horse and  he clearly  fulfilled all of that requirement. But the other thing that was important for me was to know if he would be safe to take out on trail rides. Belinda’s farm property has forest trails so she told me how to get from the arena to a short forest trail. I took him and he behaved perfectly.  That was the beginning of my wonderful journey with Biasini.

This photo was taken, not on that first day, but is of the start of the forest trail we went on that first day. This was the road taken.

Awww, if one is going to take a road, then on the back of a horse is definitely the best way!! Loved your perspective on this shot.
