Bird of the week LII
Little Blue Heron. Both male and female build nest on a platform and have one brood per year. Both male and female incubate the eggs. And both male and female feed the young for 42-29 days These herons eat fish and aquatic insects. The information above is from Stan Tekiela’s book Florida Field Guide.

This week Cees Fun Foto challenge was to pick a tool any type of tool.Ihave chosen the humble hoof pick. Here it is. The sharp pointed end is used to pick out dirt/ manure etc from the horses hoof.This is important to do because if it is not done the hoof can become infected.Below I…
