Passwords, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.

I don’t know if anyone else is like me. but I seem to have a lot of trouble with passwords. I select to change my password. I enter a new password. And then when I go back to sign in, whatever the program is, it doesn’t want to accept that new password. I can’t help but think that I can’t be the only person who has this problem. I have had a lot of difficulties signing into jet pack. And jet pack, of course, is how I get to my wordpress account most of the time. Although there are times when I just sign in directly to my wordpress horseaddict net account. I think that my husband is tired of receiving messages from the bank that I have just changed my password. So the passwords of life. Oh, and then the other thing is, I hate it when you get this thing where they say, well, I’m sorry, but you can’t use that password because you’ve just previously used it. Or you’ve used it at some other point in time. Well, I the other day, I tried to put in a password that I haven’t used. I know I have not used it for several years now. This afternoon I have been in the process of trying to change my password for jet pack. Previously I didn’t have a password for jetpack, but now I am trying to get one so that in future I won’t get stuck in an endless log in loop feedback loop for. to try to get into jet pack. Please let me know if there’s anyone else that has this problem. I will now go back to trying to get a new password for jet pack.

It seems like an endless task sometimes. I’ve run out of funny puns, etc and keep a list stashed in a hiding place. (and if I ever forget where I’ve hidden it, I’m in real trouble!)

You are not the only one. In addition to the pain of passwords, there is two factor authentication that my bank makes me use when I buy something online and I have to rush off to find my mobile phone for a One- Time-code thing. My phone in invariably on the otherside of the room or upstairs!

I also am frustrated. Password security can be most secure from me.

I had this problem earlier today, my password deemed not the password. Closed the browser session, started a new session. Re-entered my password, password accepted. Something funky going on with WP for more than a week. Also, I have avoided JetPack like the plague. I’ve seen too many complaints about it in the support forums.

Oh Anne, I am sorry for the password issues. I can well and truly relate.
My trick now is to send myself an email when I change my password for an application. I write down the name of the app or service and NOT the password but something that will jog my memory as to what I did change it to. My password emial reminder has dates etc (as do all emails) so when I search for my forgotten password I can sort the email by the most recent.
