Mother’s Day

I have just read that it was a woman in the American Civil war era who started Mothers day. In the past I have often thought it was just a Hallmark Day. but this year my Day is going well. Yesterday we went to see our daughter and our grandson. It is a two hour drive but it is an easy one all on a main highway. We met at IHOP ( International House of Pancakes) for brunch. My Grandson had a gift for me. He had planted a dahlia and handed it to me.

He also put in a little bird on the soil of the planter. Our daughter told us he had chosen that specifically for us. What a delightful gift and it was all the mores special knowing he had planted it himself ( with some assistance from his Mum)

So Happy Mother’s Day to all of you who are Mothers. It is not an easy job!

Thank you very much, Anne. I did enjoy two lovely Facetime calls with my girl, so that was special. 💕🙏🏻

OUr son lives in England and so we do video chats with him every week. Nice to hear you got to spend some “virtual” time with your girl.

They are a nice alternative when the distance is too great for a quick visit. I am glad you get to chat with your son regularly. 😊
