1.You have declared for the Paris 2024 Olympics can you tell me how you came to the decision to do this?

I have declared for the Olympics because it has always been my dream to go and my horse is more than ready to represent Canada in Paris
Who is the horse you have declared for Paris what is his or her age ? Breeding? does he or she have any quirks of personality ?
My horse is named Fedor. He is 14yo Johnson x Negro gelding. He is the horse I took to the Panam games in Chile 2023 where we won Team Bronze and qualified Canada for the Olympics. He has a huge personality which he didn’t show at first because he is a more timid horse in a new environment. But the better he got at the higher levels the more he started showing his personality and now he really is the king of the barn and he is very demanding because he knows he’s the best.

3.You are here in Wellington competing for scores to qualify for the Team Is this a stressful process or do you enjoy it?
It has been more stressful then usual because my season didn’t start like I wanted it. But right now I’m in a good place mentally so I’m enjoying the pressure that comes that comes with the journey
4.Is there anything in particular that you are looking forward to in Paris?
I think what I’m looking forward to Paris is riding in the gardens of Versailles and spending the week there. It will be super special.
Thank you Mathilde for taking the time to answer my questions. I wish you all the best for your journey forward. The photos were taken at the Global Dressage Festival CDI4*
