This quote appeared on the notice board of the Methodist Church on the other of the road about a block from where we are staying in Wellington FL.
Well, everyday I go past a polo field and a big sign that says “Learn to Play Polo Horses provided” Well if I was 15 years younger I would go for it. But at 74 I don’t think I can manage to learn to play polo. Especially now that I have Parkinson’s Disease. So I will not be setting that goal.
But I do have a Dream. I want to get into the Century club. This is where the combined age of the horse and rider is 100. And you must compete in a recognized horse show. For me I need to be 78 and Biasini 22
Four more years. I don’t know if I will be able to ride at all at 78 but I intend to keep on as long as I possibly can. I don’t need to do an advanced level of test. I could do a lower level test and still qualify for the Century club. So it would not be too taxing for Biasini.
So that is my dream. Every night I think about my dream and I pray that I will be able to accomplish it. I am not too old to have a dream!
