Update!

I spoke to my GP yesterday and he said he was ” not smart enough to know” (I think he is but I understand he is not a specialist.)what was causing me to have these falls. So he is going to refer me to a neurologist.

Also the hospital that has the ER I went to also has a “Falls Clinic” this gives classes to senior and others who have experienced falls. There is a group of physiotherapists who teach the people in the class how to help themselves to not fall . My GP is also giving me a referral to this class.

Lastly he has ordered blood work which I have booked for next week. This is to rule out any metabolic reason for my falls.

I would like to thank all the followers and others who left me encouraging messages and comments. I appreciate all of them very much. Thank you!!

      And thank you for thr prayers. They are always appreciated! I am getting a thorough medical check up to see what may be causing the falls. So far my head and heart are all good. And I have not had a fall for 4 weeks!! Yay!

    I am so sorry to hear you are having falls. Quite randomly I read other older people having them (the poet and writer Micheal Rosen mentioned that he had a propos nothing had fallen over a while back). Did you ever get covid? That does all sorts of wierd things we dont understand. Micheal Rosen was very ill with covid and spent weeks in a coma (I know that’s not you).

      No inhave not had Covid. I’ve had 5 vaccine shots but not the virus. My GP has referred me to a neurologist and I start that process next Friday getting an assessment from a doctor at the local hospital. She will then refer me on to one of their neurologists.

        I am impressed that you avoided covid, my parents too have so far avoided it too. I think all the booster shots helped. We caught it last summer and it knocked us out for about 6 weeks. I hope your doctors work out the cause of your fall/s.

          I hope so too Emma.I see a doctor this Friday who will do an initial assessment and will choose which neurologist to send me to inth hospital. I hope to get some answers!!

    That’s quite a candid admission from your GP! I say he’s a keeper. Sounds like you’re doing everything right and the right way! Give Biasini an extra treat for being patient. I’m sure he is missing you. Good luck!

      He is definitely a keeper. He does a couple of days a week in the ER as well as being in the Family Practice.
