FOTD: In the Garden

Here are some photos of the flowers in our garden this spring. Below is Hesperica Matronalis, a wild Phlox, that is growing beneath a Linden tree.

A closer look at the wild phlox.

This little beauty below is also in our “wild” garden beneath the Linden. I do not know what it is.

This year there has been a bumper crop of Lilacs. Even the wild roadside lilacs have been covered in blooms. This one grows at the side of our house and is grafted onto a stem and grows in a ball shape. It has a wonderful scent.

A closer look.

For today this is my response to Cee’s Flower of the Day challenge.

I wish we had your wild phlox. It reminded me a little of honesty. That lilac is spectacular.
