I’m Home!

I was discharged from the hospital yesterday and sleeping in my own bed last night. The surgeon was very happy with how the surgery had gone. All my vitals were normal and so I was released! YAY!

I now have a two wheeled walker which is not my favorite!! I cannot carry anything while using it and that is a nuisance. But in the grand scheme of things it is a minor inconvenience. My husband has been a huge help. Today he came to the barn and brushed Biasini to get him ready for Lynsey to tack walk. Lynsey tack walked him in the arena while listening on her ear bud to the lesson Coach Belinda Trussell was having via Pixio with Debbie Macdonald. Debbie is in Idaho! Lynsey wanted to listen to the lesson as she is helping Belinda at the shows and hearing Debbies comments can help her to know how to best help Belinda in the warm ups. Lessons via Pixio camera and the internet with a coach who is many miles away in a different country! That is the world we live in!

On the weekend I will take it easy a bit and My husband, David, will hand walk Biasini and then let him have some grass as you can see in the featured photo taken last week. We will both go to the barn but hand walking a horse is not possible with a two wheeled walker.

I will get back to reading the posts of all the bloggers I follow in a day or two. Thanks to all of you for your wonderfully supportive comments when I was heading into the surgery.

Oh Anne! For some reason I’m just seeing this post. I’M SO GLAD THE SURGERY WENT WELL. May you be back to … running marathons soon. David sounds like an angel. And I’m sure Biasini missed his mama. TAKE IT EASY! Love, Your Savannah Doctor. (Okay maybe mine is a PhD, not an MD, but still.)

I am glad you are out of hospital and at home. You will sleep (and heal) better at home. It’s a good job your husband is prepared to walk Biasini. He’s not a rider, I take it?

    1. anne leueen Avatar

Nope David is not a horse person but he learns fast .

Great news!! I’m so glad it all went good. You’ll heal up fast I’m sure. 💞

And that’s amazing the Pixio video lessons from afar. I didn’t know Debbie was back in Idaho as I thought they moved to Florida. I was to move to Idaho with both Debbie and Bob McDonald but at the time in 1980 I decided to stay in California. My what I would have been able to do if I had gone but that fork in the road was many years ago. Anyways, I digress as I think it’s so awesome there’s great lessons to be had for all! ❤️🐴🙏❤️

I asked Lynsey if she was in IDAHO,
      and she said yes.

Congrats, Anne! May you be tripping the light fantastic in no time at all. I know those walkers can be a pain, and you’re in such good shape that I bet you graduate to more friendly mobility aids soon. I’m still using a cane and it feels like a part of me by now, like second nature. Treat yourself and Biasini and your husband to something special to celebrate!

    1. anne leueen Avatar

Yes a celebration is a good idea. Thanks for commenting. 💓
