Monday Portrait. March 27

A Florida Ibis. They poke that long beak down into the grass and this one,in the photo above,found something and has it in his beak.

    Aw, it’s rather cute! We have a much smaller bird called a ‘thrasher’ and its beak is curved much like that ibis!

    The ibis is beautiful, Anne. I have visited Florida (the Gulf side) time to time in past years and seen them. Myakka River State Park was one of the places we visited.

    I like the sideways view of this bird, very interesting, shows you were bird watching, not just photographing the birds, I think..

      Thes birds often appear outside the place where we are staying. I always have my camera ready and when I see them I can just hop up and see if I can get a shot of one of them.
