FOTD:Bougainvillia

At the barn where Biasini is living in Florida they can have an entire hedge of bougainvillia. This vibrant color is stunning and it is hard to stay in a glum mood when you see it.

Here is a closer look at the blooms.

This is my response to Cee’s Flower of the Day photo challenge.

These are so pretty, Anne! I miss seeing them where we live now, but I try to take pics when I can in San Diego where they flourish!

Ah, those are so stunning! My mom loves those kinds of flowers; we see them a lot when we visit our coastal towns lol.

I only remember the thorns hiding behind those lovely bracts, learned – to my detriment – from having to trim a large bush (which I will never undertake again).

Wow 😮 those colors are so beautiful and vibrant! I’m hoping that once we get our on house and property, I’ll be able to plant some beautiful flowers around my arena and barn 😍
