Festival of Leaves Week 4

Everyone here in South Ontario is in agreement that this year the leaves and their colors are spectacular. We don’t know why but we all love it. Here are some photos .

This is the week 4 photo of the road outside our house. As you can see some branches have already lost their leaves and I feel that this color will not be with us too much longer.
This is the road further south of our house. It never fails to make me smile when I see this color as I turn onto the road and head up the hill.
These trees are on the South border of our property .
This is a wonderful display of colors bordering the paddocks at the barn where Biasini lives.
Cees Midweek Madness Challenge is “Autumn Colors” : red ,yellow , orange and green and there is a bonus for having them all in one photo. Plus an extra bonus if they are not in an autumn scene. Well I’ve got all the colors in this photo and although it is an autumn scene my horse Biasini is also an Autumn color. So perhaps I can get a small bonus for his appearing in this photo!
This photo was taken of the lawn at the edge of the road near our house. Sadly so many leaves on the ground means we will soon be loosing all the beautiful colors from the trees. But it has been wonderful while it lasted. Thank you Dawn for hosting the Festival of Leaves 2022

    Oh how gorgeous, Anne! thank you for the virtual tour…fall is starting slowly in Eastern Washington with temps in mid-70sF! Soon I hope, but I fear it will be a short Fall.

      WE have had a spectacular colors here this year but none of us can figure out why the are so good.

    They are such pretty colours! There is a lack of trees near the coast here in Donegal and the shrubs are still green. When we return to Derry (soon) I hope to see more autumn colours and there’s a lovely park up the road from out house with a fine collection of trees.

    I love all the photos, Anne, but of course my favourite is the one with Biasini, resplendent in his all-the-year-round autumn copper coat!
    What beautiful surroundings you live in, Anne. Hubby and I were out yesterday and we noticed how rich and even more beautiful the autumn colours on the trees are this year. I wonder if the intense heat of summer had anything to do with it. The trees are so glorious!

      We think it may be heat and also we had a very dry August. In any case this autumn the colors have been so wonderful.

    For me a scene like this is always spectacular. But I found it interesting that you thought they are more spectacular than usual. Was it a warmer than normal summer?

      Not warmer than usual but we did have a period of drought in August.
