To break up the arena work I like to have a day when Biasini and I just go for a walk in the forest. This week we had a real treat waiting for us.
First we set off on one of the wider trails.

We travelled along the goat trail and then at the end of that we turned and I saw a lovely sight.

Biasini thought he would give them an inspection.
Trilliums are the provincial flower of Ontario. If you would like to learn more about this flower please take a look at this Trillium post by Michael Stephen Wills. There are some excellent close ups in the post.
What beautiful and informative posts from you and Biasini. Nature, Fresh air, flowers and a truly magnificent horse π

The forest trails are a joy for both of us. We are so lucky to have them right out at the back of the barn.

“Oh how lovely Biasini’s fly bonnet is, he looks extra stunning today!” was what I thought in the first sight. I didn’t know that cute one can protect him from insect bites. Good walk is completed with safetyππβ¨ Have a wonderful weekend Anneπ

Thank you! Biasini does not like flies on his ears and if they land and bite he shakes his head a lot and does not enjoy our ride. You have an enjoyable weekend Tanooki.

Ah, I love your horse! His chestnut coat is stunning. How old is he, if I may ask?

My horse,Biasini, is now 17 years old. He gets lots of maintenance as we train at an advanced level in dressage. His confirmation is very good for this discipline as he is short coupled and strong in his hind quarters. He is in great shape for his age!
