Our Grandson had his 7th Birthday this past weekend. Here in Canada it is Thanksgiving long weekend . Our daughter, Breanne, who is the marketing manager for the Belleville Sens AHL ( American Hockey League) team organized a party for him at the Sunday afternoon game. This is a preseason game and with Covid restrictions still in place there were not too many spectators. But Breanne had a special corner for all of us.
While waiting for the game to start Tom (aka Dad)helped Silas with reading a book he had brought with him.
Here is a few seconds of the players warming up on the ice. We could see all the action from where we were seated.
Then the game began. The Belleville Sens were playing the Toronto Marlies. I have never been to a live hockey game before and I was amazed at how fast the play was.
At the interval the announcer made a special announcement and this went up on the jumbotron!
Silas brought his Birthday luck to the game and the Belleville Sens won 5-3 ! They have won both of their preseason games so far.
What a great day. Silas and his friend Hugo had a blast and parents and Grand parents did too!
