I love my Japanese Painted Fern. It is always slow to get started in the spring so I mark the spot where it grows with a green stake which you can see in this photo.

What an unusual silvery color. I love it. 🙂

I’ve always loved ferns but have trouble growing them. Yours is beautiful with it’s darker green colors!

It is a very interesting fern with the veins a pinkish color and the leaves green and grey. It is a bit fussy though. I have other plain green ferns that grow like mad and I have to thin them out but my little Japanese Painted beauty is not so robust.
