I bet the deer eat some of that corn. Cute picture of the squirrel.

I think the deer may get in there but for the most part the deer are farther up the road where there is more forest . Glad you like the squirrel. Thanks for commenting.

The squirrels are having a feast every day. They dart into the corn and get a corn cob and run out with it. Then they stop and shuck it and then start eating or sometimes they take kernels and bury them in our lawn. I am wondering if they will remember where they put them. And how will they find them once the snow is on the ground?

I guess they remember some but not all which is how they help the corn spread. It’s a neat arrangement that benefits both parties!

One is closer look and the others makes to look wider. Though snow troubles you, people in your part has to feel happy about this time of year because here still summer.

Autumn is a wonderful time of year here. We have the colors in the trees and the weather is mild and not too hot or humid. So it is very pleasant, The snow and cold can be a challenge but it can look beautiful when you look out the window. 😀

Apparently, you don’t have Stephen King type of characters lurking in those corn fields (a la “Children of the Corn”) … or, do you? 🙂

Ah…yes the children of the corn….. I think we have a proliferation of squirrels but not corn kids! At least not that I have seen or heard.

All the squirrels are having a good time with it. They are so clever in being able to shuck the corn , eat some and bury kernels here and there as well. I am going to see if they can remember where they have buried them when winter comes!

It is a lot of corn. It is not for humans to eat as corn on the cob but for animal feed and corn oil etc. The squirrels are having a wonderful time. They eat some and then bury some in our lawn. Do they find it again after the snow has fallen? I’m not sure.
