To mask or not to mask: that is the question. Whether ’tis nobler in the body to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous virus, or to take arms against the sea of Covid 19 and by opposing end it.
Apologies to the Bard for this paraphrase.

Even the most sturdy armor of the olden days cannot protect us from the virus. My husband and I officially finished out 14 days of self isolation on returning from the USA. So today, Monday April 7, I am going to the grocery store. I will go in on my own as that is recommended. And I have devised a visor that will give me some protection from virus droplets contacting my eyes, nose or mouth. It will also stop me from putting my hands on my face. I have used a plastic sheet protector and fastened it to the back of a peaked hat which I then put on backwards with the visor in front. It curves nicely around my face as you can see. I did not come up with this idea myself. I saw, on TV, a man had devised a plastic headband that would attach to a sheet protector and I thought: “I could do that and just pin it to a hat.”

I have my shopping list and I already know my route around the store. I will be going at 7am because that is the appointed hour for seniors and the disabled. I will also be wearing gloves that I will discard after shopping, into the garbage can, not onto the ground in the parking lot!
I’d love to hear from you!
