I am sure that athletes all over the world will be disappointed to see the Olympics postponed for a year. But I suspect they will also be relieved. This past winter season in Florida I interviewed the Canadian dressage riders who were competing with the goal of making the Canadian Team. I have not communicated with them since the postponement but I am sure they are relieved that a decision was made and a postponement of a year would mean that their horses could still be able to compete next year.
Here are the Canadian riders who, no doubt, will be trying again for a spot on the Canadian Dressage Team. If you would like to read my posts about them just click on their name.

I should also mention that I was in the process of doing an interview with Lindsay Kellock when the US Equestrian Federation cancelled all shows and we knew that this would affect the Olympics. I wish all the best to these fine riders and their horses . A year is a long time but it is not a lifetime. They will be back looking for a place on the team next year. In the meantime they will continue to train at home and the horses will have a break from competition as all shows have been cancelled .
I’d love to hear from you!
