During the two and a half day drive home from South Florida my husband and I were glued to the Masters on satellite radio. I found the commentary describing the clothing of the golfers highly entertaining. Even for TV the world of golf commentary goes into descriptions of the golfer’s clothing.
“Hugh is in a blue and white stripped t-shirt with blue pants and white shoes.”
“Yes, Tom he’s in the white shoes despite the wet grass from the rain yesterday.”
“And a white ball cap that goes well with the shoes .”
Now can you imagine that commentary for dressage? Here is my take on it.

“Here is Charlotte Dujardin coming in now wearing a navy blue tail coat with red points.”
“Yes and matching red on the collar with silver piping. Very smart. ”
“She is wearing a helmet.”
“Of course. as you know Tom, Charlotte is a helmet wearer.”
“And her helmet is navy has a nice line of red, with silver piping as well, to accompany her jacket.”
“It is a Charles Owen helmet I believe.”
“Indeed it is. ”
And all of this would be spoken in quiet almost reverential tones!
I’d love to hear from you!
