Monday Minstrel: Winston Churchill speaks of horses.

When you are on a great horse, you have the best seat you will ever have.

Winston Churchill

No hour of life is wasted that is spent in the saddle.

Winston Churchill

There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man.

Winston Churchill

Winston Churchill spoke about horses with respect as he was himself an avid rider and accomplished polo player in his day! Here is a photo of his dress spurs on display at Arundel Castle.

Happy Monday! Enjoy the coming week!

I never thought to ride on a horse, but by reading your continuous post that thought is slightly coming to me.

I never had an opportunity to go near a horse, just can’t imagine how it would be riding on a horse, and it really sounds amazing!

      They are extraordinary animals
They could easily kill us but they don’t and they work for us and understand us better than we understand ourselves. Thanks so much for your comment. I hope one day you will get to know a horse.

Thank you. He had a way with words Sir Winston. The last photo that I put with the quote is one I took of Carl Hester ( British Olympian) at the end of his Grand Prix test at WEG last September. I thought it embodied the quote well.
