Hello Dear Humans! As you know Ma Leueen was away for awhile. She got back last week and told me she had seen a whole bunch of horses made out of wood wearing a lot of steel armour. She said it was really interesting. I just smiled and nodded. I had ancestors who were war horses back in the day so I knew about all that. So let me tell you what I was doing while Ma Leueen was away. Coach Belinda was riding me. Well, as you know, that means I had to work hard. Yes, I did. After we were finished Groom Lexi would take off my saddle and bridle and give me a rub down and….she gave me carrots. Here is the video. You can see she has two carrots in her hand. So I ate the first one and then with a polite stomp of my hoof I said: “OK, I’m ready for the next carrot”.
I also had some rides with Assistant Trainer Lynsey. That’s always fun because we go out on the trails. I told her to take some video with her Eyephone. She said OK and so here is a video of us coming back to the farm. You can see we walk past Barn Manager Carl’s house. I take a quick look to see who might be there. Sometimes his little humans are playing outside and I want to know where they are. But they were not there on this day. I heard they are all in school learning stuff.
This morning Ma Leueen and I went on a walk to the forest. Ma Leueen wanted to go down one trail that we really like but I sensed something was wrong on that trail. So I stopped. Ma Leueen said: “What’s that matter? Come on…lets go.” But I just backed up. I knew something was wrong. I could smell it. Then Ma Leueen said she could see tracks in the snow. Not animal tracks but tracks from what she calls an AyTeeVee. They are not allowed in the woods so she knew something was wrong and we turned around. We went onto the big trail and met some other humans walking there. One told us she had seen a very special owl that she had taken a photo of. I don’t know much about owls but it seems this one is very, very, very rare. Then we met a woman with a dog who was quite nervous of me. I told it not to be scared I would not hurt it. Then we saw two other women with these long sticks with pointed ends. No idea what the heck those were. But they said hello and we went our separate was.
When we got back to the barn I had a good drink. It’s pretty cold so I don’t drink to quench my thirst, I drink because I need to stay Hide Rated in the cold weather. I am now wearing my very smart and seriously warm winter outfit. Black with silver trim. I thought the black was a bit too black so I had a good roll and put some dirt on it to break things up. What do you think ?
Till next time Dear Humans….stay well and keep warm.
I’d love to hear from you!
