Yesterday I published a post about the surfeit of negativity I had witnessed the week before. The response has been terrific. Bloggers across the blogosphere responded.
THANK YOU! Thank you to all the fellow bloggers and Facebook followers of Horse Addict. So many people took the time to say that they appreciated my blog posts about horses and they hoped I would continue and carry on with more. Many people left thoughtful comments on the Horse Addict blog and also on Horse Addict Leueen on Facebook. There seems to be universal agreement that there are a lot of trolls, cyber bullies and cyber abusers out there and that we must stand firm with a positive outlook on life and not let them get the better of us. We are the Positivity Brigade!
POSITIVISM MATTERS! Many of the comments , including comments from non horsey people, spoke of the tidal waves of negative news that wash over us everyday. We have evolved with technical competence to a point where there is an onslaught of news every day, every hour, every minute and most of it is not good: wars, mass shootings, natural disasters, displaced people, sickness, terrorism, political uncertainty….it goes on and on! But we have not evolved in terms of being able to handle and process all of that news. So in the wake of this tidal wave of news, most of it bad, we must look for every positive bit of light and let it shine whenever and wherever we can.
I shall not be bowed by the negativity of last week. I will continue to write posts about horses, and riders. And of course my own horse, Biasini, has insisted that I must continue as his blog posts, “Biasini Speaks”, are an important communication between humans and horses….straight from the horse’s mouth!
Thank you all. I appreciate your support and enthusiasm and positive attitude so very much. I shall finish today with some of my favorite horse photos.
Let us remain positive. Defend positivism! Resist negativity! I think we must be warriors in this battle. Thank you for being in my Positivity Brigade!
Just continue to do what you love 💕

That’s good news – perhaps bloggers are more positive because we get to know each other in a little more depth than on other platforms?

I think you could be right. There is a higher level of engagement with bloggers. I know on FB there are some people who routinely ‘like’ something i post but comments are few and i know little about the person as they may not write or post much. I was actually surprised by how many FB followers did comment on my negativity post and said they like reading my blog posts and always read them and they hoped I would not give up. I was genuinely surprised. FB is more anonymous and less engaged the WP. Anyway… on we go!

Thank you Tina. The little fellow is my grandson. He’s a year older now and already so much more grown up. His Mum( in the photo) is our daughter.

Sorry, I missed the previous post… I would have left a message before!
I don’t understand angry people and trolls… But I get how some people might attract harsh commenting by their provocative opinions. What I don’t get is why people even bother being mean and pointlessly hurtful to people like you, who only post about positive things…
Maybe there’s nothing to understand.
Luckily, you have a great Positivity Brigade, and I’d like to get a badge, if I can 😉 I’ve learnt a lot about horses through your blog, but more than that, I discovered an amazing Lady 🙂 And I sure hope you keep publishing your posts and sharing your beautiful pictures!!
Muuuuuuahhh! Dear Anne 🙂

I’m so happy to read this after reading the one the other day! Nice to see you are back on the horse! pardon the pun.
I love your blogs and your posts and you have taught me so many things that I did not know.
I always look up to people that are closer to my goals than I am. I am not jealous or envious, I just try to find how you all got there and be happy for you whilst I find my own journey using your tricks and tips along the way!!
Negativity and bullying is not only rude and bad manners but it can really harm people and I hope that you are able to throw the BS over your shoulder and get on with your awesome journey.
Don’t ever let anyone drag you down from how wonderful you are!! Enjoy the day mate
