This week’s WordPress Photo Challenge is ‘Place in the World.” I am very fortunate that my life is in a place I am very happy with. I am living a life I feel no need to escape from. Why? No surprise as to why. I have horses in my life. Even when I am away from riding and my own horse I am drawn to horses. At the Horse Guards in London visitors can have their photos taken next to one on the Guards horses. I not only had my photo taken but struck up a conversation with the horse.
No matter how I may be feeling on any day I know that I will feel better when I get to the barn and ride my horse, Biasini. Even if it is a day off from riding I will enjoy just grooming and spending some time with him. Biasini is a character with a sense of humor.
Riding and training and competing gives me a sense of purpose in my life. And as for a “place in the world” what could be a better place than working on developing a relationship with a horse, a member of another species,who is prepared to work with a human.
