Monday Minstrel: Boots Not Made for Walking

The Winter Equestrian Festival has more to offer than just the horse show. There is shopping!  When I was there I couldn’t help but notice some displays of riding boots. Well….I would be surprised to see some of these boots being worn while riding but….who knows.  Here is one display.  What about the faux leopard, or is it ocelot, spotted boots?boots-2127

Here is another display. I rather fancy the dark paddock boots with the snazzy laces but I don’t have the patience to be bending over to do them up and then undo them to get them off. Clearly I am not a fashionista! So maybe the bright cherry  pink ones?

One thing is certain. These boots were not made for walking!

I dream of the Celeris boots! They seem to be a cross between the super out there attention grabbing boots and ones that are actually practical to ride in.

One day, when I win lottery I may consider buying some.

Show ponies obviously. Yes, some designs are all show, not functional.

I happen to love the bright cherry pink ones too, but the black ones with the pink laces and sole… wow, so cute and elegant! Such a nice post, well… boots not made for walking alright but talking about them… that is another colorful story. 🙂 Gave me nice ideas, to be honest, though… next autumn-winter, that is. 🙂

Absolutely love those faux ocelot boots. In my younger days, I might have even given them ago (about 30 million years ags when I was a care free student)

I thought I was the bees-knees too. So glad that social media wasn’t around back then to record my daftness!

I already listened to it when I was putting the post together. Achhhhh! It is real earworm! They say you should play God Save the Queen ( or My Country tis of Thee) in your head to get rid of ear worms so try that.

Well, what’s in fashion for riding boots is probably not something you need in your life but….. it is entertaining at least. Thanks for reading!

Courtney bought a pair of Baker paddock boots at the big Arabian show in Scotsdale. They have the Baker plaid right into th boot. Very cool!

I wish that I had worn these during shows years ago. I might not have placed based on the attire, but it would have been worth the fuss! Love these! 😉
