Amidst the cacophony of noise and motion that is London’s Marble Arch; cars, coaches, mopeds, motorbikes and buses , as well as the hundreds of human pedestrians that circle the perimeter of this huge traffic circle there is this.
‘Still Water’ a bronze sculpture of a horse’s head drinking, was created by Nic Fiddian-Green, and given a permanent place in the center of Marble Arch in 2011. It stands 33ft high.
Nic Fiddian -Green said : “It is a great honor that Westminster City Council have made this a permanent work of art for the city. I am humbled that so many people have written to me and that I am still able to uplift and inspire people as they pass by, rushing to work.
I passed it today on my way for a walk in Kensington Gardens and I still marvel at it.
I’d love to hear from you!
