On Sunday I went to see the $31,020. BRAINJUICE U 25 Grand Prix .In this competition all the riders are 25 or younger. Several were still in their teens .But all were accomplished and talented riders. There were a total of 60 horse and rider combinations in the class. The first clear round was ridden by Valentina Arenas Saravia from Guatemala riding Lacido, an Oldenburg mare. Here are some photos I took of the riders. I apologize for not being able to give you the name of the horses and riders but my One Drive app that I upload my photos from my camera mixed up the order of the photos.

The first Canadian rider Lexi Ray had a rail down and 4 faults . Lots of the riders jumped clear but had time faults. It was a long course with only 85 seconds allowed. The second Canadian rider Nicholas Pongracz had time faults. The 25th rider in was Sabrina Lefebvre and this Canadian rider had a clear round riding RF Most Wanted. Just before her was Natalie Dean riding Dotcom D’Aauthuit There were several clear rounds and in the jump off Natalie rode a super fast ride to take the win.

As I watched these younger riders I realized I was watching the next generation of jumper superstars ! Even those in their teens were so capable of riding this not so easy course.
