Hello Dear Humans! I am still not back to work. The vet came to see me a while ago and did an ultrah sownd. And fortunately he said I could still be turned out but today he came to give me an injection into the place where I have my injury. After that he said stall rest and handwalking two times a day but no turn out. Oh well. It is what it is. HaHa. I love it when I get all philosophical! As if I was this calm laid back kind of guy.
Well I am pretty calm now in my senior years. I have learned in my life that getting worked up usually doesn’t go too well. The humans don’t like that .Horses that start galloping in the paddock and things like that get taken in to their stalls. And no horse wants that so I stay calm.
Barn manager Carl tells me that tomorrow he will walk me twice in the day and the next day Ma Leueen will come with her other half Dave and walk me twice. Ma Leueen can’t walk me because she has something wrong with her hip. But Dave walks me and he often has carrots in his pocket. Ma Leueen tells me she put up a post on the blob with photos of Dave walking me in the indoor arena when it was raining.
I think you may already know that I have a ball that gets treats put into it and then I nose it around and the treats come out. Here is a photo .I’m just about to give it a good push.

Then once I’ve pushed it,I snuffle in the shavings to see if a treat has come out. In the next photo I have found one and I will snuffle into the shavings and get it and eat it. Yum!

So, Dear Humans, that is how I entertain myself in my stall. In the evening Barn Manager Carl comes and puts on my leg wraps and gives me a small treat from his hand. Then I settle down for the night. The other horses talk about what they did that day and sometimes they ask me what I did. So I tell them about my treats ball. They all say they wish they had one too .
That’s all for now Dear Humans ….. Till next time.
I’d love to hear from you!
