Biasini Speaks: Home Again

Hello Dear Humans. I have just arrived home again. I knew we horses were going to have that long trip as I heard the Humans talking about us going. Then in the morning SG Lexi came and put on my travel boots. Then I knew that this was the day. Also Therapy Person Lori had my travelling halter with the fluffies on it.

I don’t wear things wrapped around my legs. I just wear the shoes and they are comfortable and make my feet feel good. It wasn’t long before I heard the big trucks roll up.

TP Lori took me on to the trailer. You can see how well I just walk on. I have done this trip many times before.

The driver took me to the back of the trailer and showed me to my room. It had a bucket with some water and a window behind me for a nice breeze. The horse nearest to me was Finley. He’s a nice guy . Not made this trip as often as I have . He was a bit nervous and kept asking:” When are we going? Are we going soon?” I told him to relax we would be going soon and before we knew it we were off. I’m in the first trailer in this video.

It’s a long trip but we stop once in awhile and the drivers come in and give us more water and some hay to eat.. We horses all know each other because we have all come from the barn at home. There were five of us in the trailer with me and five in the trailer behind us. We horses filled in the time chatting about our Humans and what we had been doing while we had been in Florida.

Eventually it was dark and we were all feeling a bit tired so we stopped chatting. It was also starting to feel cooler than it had in Florida. Then I remembered why I like Florida. It is warm all the time and even when it’s hot I don’t mind.

When it was daylight I looked out and I saw something I did NOT like. The ground was all white. I knew what that was. Snow! All the other horses had noticed it too. One of the mares, called Willow, said she does not like snow at all . I began to worry about it. Would Ma Leueen have my winter coats ready for me? How would I be able to go out to the paddock in the snow since I didn’t have my special things on my front feet that stop me from slipping. The others told me they didn’t have theirs either and the snow would probably melt soon.

After what seemed like a long time we turned and I knew we had arrived at our home. We stopped and I looked out the window. There was Ma Leueen! The other horses were taken out one by one and then Coach Belinda came to lead me out. Ma Leueen then took me to my stall. My home stall. I saw my hay net was there ready for me. And I need not have worried Ma Leueen had my warm coats for me to wear.

It’s good to be home and the Humans say it will get warmer soon. Till next time Dear Humans.

Thanks Emma Human. They are nice as we horses all have small stalls so we can turn around and move a bit and there is always water for us to drink. Also they are what the Humans call an “air ride”so they are nice and smooth. 🐴

Hi Biasini, What a huge trailer you rode in. I’ve never seen one so big. I’m glad you had a good trip. I love your fluffy thing around your nose. Does it make you sneeze? It looks really cool, as Mom would say. Do you have to stand the whole way home? My life has been kinda dull since I got back from Florida. But you know we bears like to sleep a lot. It’s just starting to get springy here, but we have so much wind I still wear my jacket. I won’t let Mom take it off me when she tries to wake me. I had fun reading your post. Say hi to Ma Leueen for me. I love you both. Love, Manny

Manny! So good to hear from you my friend! Yes the trailers are big. All of the five horses have a small stall so we can turn around or lie down if we want to. Also we horses can sleep standing up we just lock our knees.

Oops I didnt mean to send my reply so soon . Anyway it is a long trip and Ma Leueen gave me a couple of days off to rest up after it. Not many signs of spring here. We had snow when I first got back but that melted prety fast. But is it still rather cold. Take good care of yourself! Love to you. Biasini 🐴

I wish you could come here. We are going to CA soon so Mom and Dad can see friends, and I can see my step-brother. I say step only because he’s what you call HUMAN. They seem pretty excited about it. I don’t think it will be anywhere near as the fun we had. No big horses, no trailers, no competitions. I get to take my horse with me in case I get bored. The other ANIMALS at our house have to stay home with Aunt Cindy.

Yes JWS Human it was nice to have others that I knew on the trialer with me. Also it meant we did not have to make any other stops to pick up or drop off horses who live in other places. So the trip was a bit faster. Thanks for your nice comment. 🐴

Thank you Anne Human. I knew that the Humans would like to see the big trucks and the trailers we travel in. Ma Leueen had asked Super Groom Lexi to take some photos and video and SG Lexi always does a good job with that. 🐴

Biasini I am so glad that you are home safe and sound. What a lovely human you have in Ma Leueen who has thought of everything you need to be comfortable and warm. Where I live in Australia it is starting to get chilly in the morning and our horses are needing their rugs as well. Take care Biasini.
