Hello Dear Humans. I have just arrived home again. I knew we horses were going to have that long trip as I heard the Humans talking about us going. Then in the morning SG Lexi came and put on my travel boots. Then I knew that this was the day. Also Therapy Person Lori had my travelling halter with the fluffies on it.

I don’t wear things wrapped around my legs. I just wear the shoes and they are comfortable and make my feet feel good. It wasn’t long before I heard the big trucks roll up.

TP Lori took me on to the trailer. You can see how well I just walk on. I have done this trip many times before.
The driver took me to the back of the trailer and showed me to my room. It had a bucket with some water and a window behind me for a nice breeze. The horse nearest to me was Finley. He’s a nice guy . Not made this trip as often as I have . He was a bit nervous and kept asking:” When are we going? Are we going soon?” I told him to relax we would be going soon and before we knew it we were off. I’m in the first trailer in this video.
It’s a long trip but we stop once in awhile and the drivers come in and give us more water and some hay to eat.. We horses all know each other because we have all come from the barn at home. There were five of us in the trailer with me and five in the trailer behind us. We horses filled in the time chatting about our Humans and what we had been doing while we had been in Florida.
Eventually it was dark and we were all feeling a bit tired so we stopped chatting. It was also starting to feel cooler than it had in Florida. Then I remembered why I like Florida. It is warm all the time and even when it’s hot I don’t mind.
When it was daylight I looked out and I saw something I did NOT like. The ground was all white. I knew what that was. Snow! All the other horses had noticed it too. One of the mares, called Willow, said she does not like snow at all . I began to worry about it. Would Ma Leueen have my winter coats ready for me? How would I be able to go out to the paddock in the snow since I didn’t have my special things on my front feet that stop me from slipping. The others told me they didn’t have theirs either and the snow would probably melt soon.
After what seemed like a long time we turned and I knew we had arrived at our home. We stopped and I looked out the window. There was Ma Leueen! The other horses were taken out one by one and then Coach Belinda came to lead me out. Ma Leueen then took me to my stall. My home stall. I saw my hay net was there ready for me. And I need not have worried Ma Leueen had my warm coats for me to wear.
It’s good to be home and the Humans say it will get warmer soon. Till next time Dear Humans.
I’d love to hear from you!
