After Christmas I took Biasini out for a ride in the snow. We had a good layer of fresh snow, which is ideal as it gives good traction for the horse to walk. My husband and our little dog, June, came too. It was much tougher going through the deep snow for them. Sometimes Biasini and I would stop, turn around to see them, and wait for them to catch up.

You can see from the tracks, in the photo, that someone had been along the trail on cross country skis. Getting up the hills would be hard work on skis. Biasini managed the hills no problem! The forest was so still and beautiful. On another day I took Biasini out for a ride around the big paddocks at the front of Oakcrest Farm. That was also a lovely day with small snow flakes drifting gently to the ground . These days are such a wonderful winter gift. If we have freezing rain and ice I cannot take Biasini out as it is too slippery. But fresh snow….we are off to the forest! Here is a video from the day my husband and little June came with us. Why not join me, via the video, for a walk in the enchanted snow forest. .
I’d love to hear from you!
